The 12-week business accelerator program known as IDEAx culminated earlier this week in Demo Day, a pitch event in which representatives from eight early-stage companies spoke to a network of mentors, investors and professionals with connections to the local business incubator The Idea Village.
The entrepreneurs represented companies trying to streamline the way we plan weddings, file work expenses and ship cargo around the globe, among other stress-inducing processes. According to Idea Village CEO Tim Williamson, Demo Day is one way of determining whether individual entrepreneurs are in a position to pitch their ideas during Entrepreneur Week in March.
