CITY OF NEW ORLEANS' DEPARTMENT OF SANITATION ANNOUNCES MARDI GRAS CLEAN-UP OPERATIONS JOB FAIR
Thursday, Jan. 8, 2015, from 9:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m., at 3400 Tulane Avenue
NEW ORLEANS - The City's Department of Sanitation and JOB1 announced a 2015 Mardi Gras Clean-Up Operations Job Fair to recruit for 150 temporary employees during the Mardi Gras 2015 season. The job fair will take place onThursday, Jan. 8, 2015, from 9:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m., at 3400 Tulane Avenue. The event will also include information about full time, permanent employment opportunities with the City's Department of Sanitation.
Qualified individuals will be selected to attend an orientation session for the position and register for a required two-day job readiness class in advance of the Mardi Gras clean-up operation on Jan. 15 - 27. Temporary employees will earn $10.10 an hour with the potential to earn up to $1,000 during the two week Mardi Gras season, from Feb. 6 - 18.
